Volunteers

"Everyone can be great because everyone can serve" - Martin Luther King Jr.

At the YMCA, your time and talent go a long way.

As a YMCA Volunteer, there are many opportunities. No matter how you help, you'll make a big difference as you work with others to create a feeling of connectedness in your community and your YMCA.

The YMCA needs more people like you. Do something good. Volunteer at the YMCA.

Our Volunteer Roots
Volunteeers, by their very nature, help root the YMCA of Callaway County to its identity as an association of people motivated be an ethic of service. In fact the Y's founder in 1844 was a volunteer. George Williams saw a community need and created the Y to help fill that need. To revive its associational character, the YMCA must involve all types of volunteers. A YMCA volunteer is defined as anyone who willingly gives time to help the YMCA accomplish its mission without getting paid by the YMCA.

If you are interested in becoming a volunteer, stop by the YMCA Front Desk and fill out a volunteer application!
